‘13th January’ follows the festivities of the Ukrainian new year ‘Malanka’ which, as the book title suggests, is celebrated in January. From day to early hours of the next morning, Ukranian photographer Daniil Kotliar intimately documents a culture that has not been seen by many, one filled with folklore and legends.
